Family Assistant

A private SMS assistant for a small group of families and individuals.

This is a personal, non-commercial service operated by a single individual for their family and a small number of friends. Members text a phone number to add items to a shared calendar, task list, and grocery list, and to ask general questions. Replies come back as ordinary text messages.

Who receives messages

Only people the operator has added by hand. There is no signup form, no public enrollment, and no way to join without being added directly. The service is not offered to the public and nothing is sold or advertised through it.

Consent

A person is added only after agreeing verbally or in writing to receive messages at their number. Every message sent is a direct reply to a message that person sent first, or a short notification about a shared list they asked to be part of. No marketing, no promotional content, no bulk sends.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to stop all messages immediately. Reply START to resume, or HELP for assistance. Opt-out is handled at the carrier level and takes effect right away.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies and depends entirely on how often a member chooses to text.

Privacy

Stored data is limited to what is needed to run the service: the member's phone number, display name, time zone, and the calendar events, tasks, and list items they create, along with recent message history for conversational context.

• Data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing.
• Message text is sent to an AI provider solely to generate a reply.
• No mobile opt-in data or consent record is shared with anyone.
• Members may request deletion of all their data at any time.
